At Architectuuratelier, we specialize in the design of masterplans, housing, and open space layouts. Our most recent project, DVC Zevenbergen in Ranst, is a testament to our commitment to creating spaces that cater to the unique needs of individuals with significant mental and physical needs. We believe in the power of community and how it can invigorate spaces, giving them meaning and purpose.
Our concept for Zevenbergen is centered around creating a qualitative collective living environment that promotes freedom of movement. We achieve this by strategically using gradients and boundaries. The masterplan revolves around three themed landscape 'rooms': a horse meadow, an orchard, and an animal pasture. These landscapes are visible from the living spaces in the houses, creating a dynamic and lively environment.
The houses, each accommodating eight to nine people, are designed with a focus on spaciousness and quality of experience. Living areas are organized around a generous patio, providing a familiar proximity between residents and carers. The patios serve as outdoor rooms, providing additional light and space for collective or individual use.
Throughout our projects, we use modest materials but always with a strong focus on spaciousness and quality of experience. We are currently in the preliminary stage of phase 3 of the Zevenbergen project, having successfully executed phase 2.
