Is it possible to hypnotize me to, say, bark like a dog or to fall in love with my vacuum cleaner?
(Clinical) Hypnosis has nothing to do with Hollywood movies. The idea of a hypnotist being able to manipulate you into actions you would never consider is simply a myth. Thinking that such a person exists is comparable to believing in Santa Claus, Batman, Catwoman, Superman, Hulk Hogan, Captain America, etc.
Will I fall asleep during hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis does not put you to sleep; rather, it brings you to a heightened state of awareness. This is precisely why you cannot remain in hypnosis indefinitely. While it may feel similar to a dreamlike state, it is quite different from actual sleep.
Will I maintain any control during the hypnotherapy session?
You maintain complete control during hypnosis and can leave the hypnotic state at any time! Entering or exiting hypnosis is quite straightforward. You remain fully aware of everything that’s happening around you, as you are not in an unconscious state of mind.
Is Hypnotherapy expensive?
Hypnotherapy is not expensive at all. When you weigh its expenses against those of IVF, cigarettes, medication, alcohol, weed, or even more serious substances, along with other temporary indulgences like shopping and travelling, hypnotherapy is indeed an attractive alternative.
Now, let me ask you: Have those expenses truly resolved your issues, or are you simply pouring more money into them?

What is the cost of a single RTT session, and how many sessions will I require?
The prices at Sunlight Therapy BV are set to change on January 1st, 2027. Currently, a single RTT session is still available for €363.
However, I recommend purchasing a package of three sessions to guarantee lasting results, which also comes with a 15% discount, bringing the total investment down to €925.65.
One session is seldom sufficient especially if you have a trauma history. While two might suffice, investing in a package is truly the best gift you can offer yourself.
What does an RTT session entail?
Each session includes:
· An in-depth intake and psychoeducation
· A preparation recording before the session. I use EMDR music and binaural beats.
· An RTT session (combined with parts work)
· A personalized hypnotic recording provided after the session (EMDR music/binaural beats) · Somatic exercises (if needed)
· Two follow-up sessions and continued psychoeducation. During this time, we will keep in touch via WhatsApp.
· Bonus: personalized recording of choice (EMDR music/binaural beats)

How Fast is Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT)?
Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) is recognized as one of the fastest and most effective therapeutic approaches. You are likely to gain valuable insights right during the session, or shortly after the session. However, I can't predict how much time you'll need to process and integrate this new information, since each client’s experience is unique.
Is Hypnotherapy Painful?
I like using the analogy of visiting the dentist to explain this.
Imagine you're dealing with tooth issues and longing for a beautiful smile. That smile won't magically appear just because you wish for it. You need to take action by visiting a dentist, which may involve getting an injection and enduring the sound of drills while they work on your teeth. After the appointment, you might experience some discomfort.
Yes, it can be a bit unpleasant, but ultimately, you achieve that beautiful smile you've always wanted.
The same principle applies to hypnotherapy. As Gabor Maté once remarked (paraphrased): If your therapist doesn’t ask uncomfortable questions and you don’t experience uncomfortable feelings during the session, they may not be doing good job.
Uncomfortable emotions are not beneficial when suppressed.
