Overall happy with the results of the works. Results of the works were good and meet the expectations.
The pros:
- Preparation, container and scaffolding were set up quick, and also communications with the city hall to get the permits and so on
- Fast, demolition and follow up works went quick
- Big team, usually 4-6 people per day, so the main tasks were started quick
- Careful workers, if it got dirty they would clean just after and carried even extra cleaning of some old tile from the previous roof
- Extra work with reasonable price, the house was old and needed extra tasks to make the roof correctly straight, price was within reason
- Respected the feedback, in some section work was not as I'd judge as good, but after I informed, they were quick in recognize and fix it on the following round
- Willing to give the extra push meet my request of finishing the work before a certain date, which was crucial for me (Mijn Verbouwpremie)
- Quickly help with final attest, they answered me with the Aannemersattest dakisolatie on the following up of my request, which was a good support
The cons
- Long time to start, from signing the contract until the start date, it took many months
- Start date was also informed one day before it really kicked in, which for us was a surprise, I was expecting 1 week prior of notice
- Lack of a clear daily activity plan, I was blind in to know exactly what would happen on the day or what would be the next task. Complicated for me as we had to manage a baby, keep the dust out and sleeping in the living room, but overall doable
- Team-leader was not always there, it was reachable, but it would be very nice to
Overall, if you are an expat searching for a good company, I definitely recommend Renewbuild. There are points of improvement but the end result is really good.
