Generiek is a Belgium-based architectural office, established in 2015 by Lorenz Adriaens, Lando de Keyzer, and Richard Leung. Our team is driven by a shared passion for architecture and a belief in the limitless possibilities of life. We are inspired by Lorenz's fighting spirit and his vision of architecture as a medium to create a more meaningful world. Our work is not confined to a single scale or context. We engage with a range of scales, from furniture design to urban and territorial planning.
Our projects are guided by a generic grammar of typologies and techniques, allowing us to claim and create spaces out of specific sites and contexts. We are interested in the Flemish landscape, and our recent commissions include a series of housing projects within this region. We believe in the power of theoretical research and consider it a core aspect of our practice. We are also actively engaged in academia, serving as critics and jurors at universities worldwide.
Our approach to architecture is rooted in understanding the forms of life lived in contemporary society and translating these relationships into physical space. We see architecture as a means to arrange, classify, and establish a sense of order. We believe that by adopting a generic approach to space, we can create environments where life can truly exist and grow.
