Over The Nomad Concept:

The Nomad Concept, established in 2000, is a Belgium-based architectural firm with a unique focus on tensile and lightweight architecture. We are passionate about creating architectural designs that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also fundamentally integrated with their surroundings. Our work is deeply rooted in a love for nature, historical architecture, and a commitment to innovation, scientific research, and engineering.

Our approach is holistic, encompassing every phase of a project, from conception to completion. We work closely with all members of the project team, including consultants, contractors, and artisans, to ensure that the initial ideas and visions of our clients are fully realized. We also offer advice and guidance to fellow architects on the realization of tensile projects, optimizing design, form, engineering, and analysis.

Our philosophy is grounded in the belief that architecture, engineering, and making should not be separate entities but rather integrated aspects of a single creative process. This belief is reflected in our commitment to creating structures that are not only beautiful but also ecologically responsible, using a minimum of materials and focusing on constructions under pure stress or pressure.

Our founder, Amandus VanQuaille, is proud to carry on this tradition in a modern and innovative way, creating tensile roof systems that are as durable and functional as they are visually stunning.
